maybe in the next life is a shoegaze band from Dallas, Texas. The band mixes heavy music with melodic shoegaze, drawing from both classic and modern influences. Formed recently, mitnl has already gained support within the DFW music scene and the broader shoegaze community. Within their first six months, the band shared the stage with Glixen and other established bands in the genre. A self titled EP is planned for release in 2026 and reflects the band’s current direction, combining heavier moments with more restrained and atmospheric songs. Live shows move between high energy sections and quieter passages, giving the band room to explore different dynamics. The name maybe in the next life reflects both hope and despair, holding onto something that feels finished while still believing that, against the odds, the spirit to keep going can be found again. mitnl is new, but one thing is certain: the band is going to leave a lasting mark on the shoegaze scene.
